This month, my maternal grandmother will turn 92.

 

Edina resident and hobbyist photographer Vicki Hurwitz was out for a walk one warm summer morning in 2021 when she noticed the sun hitting her neighbor’s dog just right. She took advantage of the tranquil moment and pulled out her camera.

 

I’m not sure about you, but in the heat of summer, the last thing I want to do is spend hours in the kitchen, bent over a hot stove to prepare a meal. For me, exploring new and complex recipes is hobby for winter, not summer.

 

Is there anything better on a beautiful summer evening than enjoying live music al fresco with neighbors and friends, surrounded by excellent restaurants and fantastic ice cream? Probably not.
